Session 3: Quantitative Research Methods
Description
The Clifford Craig Foundation hosts a six-week beginners research course about planning and conducting clinical investigations in the Tasmanian Health Service.
The course is aimed at North/LGH staff interested in research across nursing, allied health, pharmacy and medical specialties.

- Week 2: Qualitative Research Methods 15 May
- Week 3: Quantitative Research Methods 22 May
- Week 4: Biostatistics 29 May
- Week 5: Ethics & Governance 5 June
- Week 6: Publishing Your Work 19 June
Outcomes
- An appreciation of why and how health professionals can be actively involved in research
- An introduction to major reserach methods (quantitative and qualitative), study design, introduction to biostatistics and data management
- Information and practice at preparing a research protocol and writing an ethics application
- The process of having research published
