MIA Nurse Webinar series hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia
Description

A presentation for nurses who have an interest in clinical trials or skin cancer.

Clinical trials are fundamental to ensuring the best possible care for our patients, and nurses are critical to the multidisciplinary care of patients on trial. With the number of clinical trials increasing, particularly in the oncology field, nurses are bound to encounter a patient involved in a trial. It is therefore useful for all nurses to have a broad knowledge this area of patient care.

Speaker Maria Gonzalez, Head of Clinical Trials at Melanoma Institute Australia, will discuss the different phases of clinical research, the importance of informed consent and patient safety, the nurses' role, and how ground-breaking clinical trials at MIA are helping us towards reaching our goal of zero deaths from melanoma.
